Mindful Monsters is inspired by ‘Mindfulness’, so this activity is designed with brilliant benefits for our children in mind, including:
- More resilience in day-to-day life.
- Improved focus.
- A better understanding of emotions.
- A sense of calm.
- More positive thinking and promoting kindness.
So what is mindfulness? It seems to be just about everywhere lately, so I’m sure you’ve heard of it. But basically it’s a mental state achieved by the act of being present in the moment, paying attention to and acknowledging your thoughts and feelings. Mindfulness has been linked back to early teachings of the Buddha, with roots over 2,500 years ago, but within the last decade or so it has became increasingly popular. It’s gained international popularity due to its distinctive method to handle emotion.
“Mindfulness changes lives. It sustains kids’ natural curiosity and helps them engage more deeply with others.” – Michael Chaskalson, Leading Mindfulness Expert.

By purchasing Mindful Monsters for your family, you are helping to support around 250,000 disabled people and their families every year; by 2022 Scope’s goal is to increase this figure to 2 million. Scope don’t want any parent to feel alone or scared when they have just learnt that their child is disabled. Thanks to you, Scope will be able to raise more money, so they can reach every family that needs them, and make sure that every disabled child had the best start in life. So, not only are these cards beneficial to your own family, they’re also supporting other families, and they’re also heaps of fun!
